About the Online Turf Management Academy (OTMA)
Our Mission
At the Online Turf Management Academy, our mission is simple:
to provide accessible, practical, and job-ready turf training that helps learners step confidently into the industry.
We believe turf education shouldn’t be locked behind years of study or outdated pathways. Our courses are built to be fast, flexible, and focused on the real-world skills that matter most to employers.
Why We Exist
“I created this Academy because I know the traditional training path isn’t the right fit for everyone.
From my experience both as a Golf Course superintendent and an educator, I’ve seen the challenges staff and managers face being away from the course for too long, staff unsure if they’re ready to commit to a 3–4 year qualification, and motivated learners who just want a faster, more direct way in.
That’s why OTMA exists: to help you get job-ready fast, using real insights from the field and practical turf knowledge that actually matters.”
